The aim of the action is:

The main objective of the "Innovation Continent: Creating and Strengthening Start-up & Spin-off business" is the establishment and support of new Start-ups (Startup) & Technoplatform Companies (Spin-off) that are or will be active in the Region of Epirus and invest in innovation, for the development of competitive innovative products and/or services that they plan to market.

Sub-Action 2 (aid): €1.000.000

  1. The call is for two distinct sub-actions and the Potential Beneficiary is required to select the sub-action for which he/she wishes to submit a proposal:
  • Sub-Action 1: Creation of Startup & Spin-off companies in Epirus

The sub-action concerns start-ups. Under establishment means enterprises that have draft articles of association signed by all members/partners and will start operations at the competent tax office after the online submission of the application.

  • Sub-Action 2: Support for new Startup & Spin-off companies in Epirus

The sub-action concerns new businesses. New enterprises are defined as existing enterprises that have started operations on or after 1 January 2023.

  1. The action focuses on the sectors of the regional dimension of the National Smart Specialization Strategy 2021- 2027 (ESEE), which was approved in accordance with the Decision of the Minister of Development and Investment No. 66021/29-06-2022 (Government Gazette B 3359), which are:

  • Environment - Circular Economy
  • Life Sciences – Health and Medicine
  • Sustainable Energy
  • Digital Technologies
  • Personnel expenses
  • Expenditure on equipment, means of transport & instruments
  • Expenditure on Buildings, Grounds, Facilities & Environment
  • Expenses for the Provision of Services
  • Operating Expenditure
  • Software Expenses
  • Advertising, Promotion & Networking Expenditure
  • Patent expenditure
  • Indirect Costs
