Enterprises: any entity, regardless of its legal form, engaged in an economic activity. Specifically, within the framework of this call, the basic conditions for participation of all enterprises submitting a proposal, for each one, are the following:

• Businesses must be legally established and be active or be active by the time of payment of the aid (including the advance payment) as well as incur the corresponding expenses in the Region of Epirus.
• The Coordinating Body must have an Activity Code Number (AKN) that is relevant to the subject of the research proposal. It is noted that there is no eligibility restriction regarding the Activity Code Number (AKN) of an Enterprise. The Funding Application must include the most relevant AKN to the project, which the enterprise has before the issuance of the call. It is not necessary to issue a new AKN specifically for the Action.
• To submit only one (1) research project as a Coordinating Body/Main Partner, while they may participate in a total of three (3) research projects (Main Partner/Partner). It is noted that the participation of a company in more than one proposal will concern the implementation of a different object, this will be checked by EFEPAE, which may use experts for this purpose.

Research Organisations may participate as Partners in the framework of collaborative cooperation schemes. A Research Organisation is considered to be any entity, such as Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Research Centres - Institutes, Technological Bodies and Research University Institutions, regardless of their legal status (public or private law) or the method of financing, the primary purpose of which is education, the independent conduct of basic research, industrial research or experimental development or the wide dissemination of the results of these activities through teaching, publication or knowledge transfer. In the case where this entity also carries out economic activities, the financing, expenses and income from these economic activities must be declared separately. Businesses that can influence such an entity, such as through their status as a shareholder or member, do not have privileged access to its research potential or research results.
